Collective Works

The I.M.Orlow Collection represents a unique artistic process.  The experience of myriad landscapes, cultures, people and a love for very old art flow into innovative, colorful paintings and sculptures. 

Each includes texturing materials that represent personal and political places: Spices, coffee, tea, bits of flora from the beach or the woods.  These are the backbone of each piece.  Gold leaf often highlights a special area, but the majority of each painting is bright, clear colorful forms, which appear a bit like stained glass in their luminescence.

Part of the artistic intention is to invite each viewer to see new forms themselves, in addition (or perhaps countering!) to what the artist has foregrounded.
